What Does this MRI Scan Result Mean?

Hi Doc.
i had a MRI of the Dorsal Spine which shows the following:
- Straightened dorsal curve with good vertebral alignment.
- D8 and D10 vertebral bodies osseous hemangiomata.
- marginal anterior osteophytic lippings of the dorsal vertebral end plates with multilevel schmoral's nodes formation.
- c6/7 posterior and left posterlateral disc protrusion seen indenting the ventral CSF space and partially encroaching upon the corresponding left neural exit pathway.
- D3/4 and D4/5 small posterior right paracentral disc protrusion seen effacing the ventral CSF space and gently touching the opposing aspect of dorsal spinal cord.
- D11/12 central posterior osteodiscal lesions seen indenting the ventral CSF space without encroaching upon the neural exit foramina.
- normal caliber & MR signal of the dorsal cord. No cord oedema , malacia or syrinx.
- no paraverebral masses or collections.

I thank you in advance

Welcome to health care magic.

1.The MRI report suggest multiple findings - suggests degenerative changes of bones and discs.
2.The spine is straightened because of the nerve having pressure effect on the exiting nerve root at multiple levels - which is causing irritation.
3. There is a minimal mass effect of the discs at the level of C 6-7 and D 3-4, 4-5, 11-12.
4. Treatment in this case would be back exercises in first place with rest - followed by physiotherapy.
5.There are hemangiomas and schmorals nodes as mentioned - does not need any active intervention.

Good luck.
Hope i have answered your query,
any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask.
